[Ozu Castle Town]
A castle town in Iyo Province. Until the early modern period, it was written as Otsu, and was renamed Ozu during the Meireki and Manji eras (1655-61). After Toyotomi Hideyoshi's conquest of Shikoku, it became the castle town of Ikeda Takasuke, Todo Takatora, and Wakisaka Yasuharu.
