NFS - NFS

A service developed by Sun Microsystems that shares files over a network, or the software that makes it possible. NFS allows you to mount files and devices on other computers and use them as if they were at hand. It is mainly used on UNIX-based systems. サン・マイクロシステムズ社が開発した、ネットワークを利用してファイルを共有するサービス、またはそれを実現するソフトウェア。NFSにより、ほかのコンピューター上にあるファイルや装置をマウントして手元にあるように利用できる。主にUNIX系のシステムで利用されている。ファイルを提供するNFSサーバーと、それを利用するNFSクライアントで構成される。
