Ethyleneimine - Echirenimine (English spelling)

An imine. Also called aziridine. A liquid with a strong ammonia odor.

It is obtained by reacting 2-chloroethylamine or 2-aminoethyl sulfate with sodium hydroxide. It polymerizes easily. It is miscible with water. It is used in the manufacture of synthetic resins, adhesives, etc. It is highly toxic and irritates the eyes, skin, and mucous membranes.

イミンの一つ。アジリジンともいう。強いアンモニア臭をもつ液体。

　2-クロロエチルアミン、または2-アミノエチル硫酸を水酸化ナトリウムと反応させて得られる。重合しやすい。水と混じり合う。合成樹脂、接着剤などの製造に用いられる。毒性が強く、目、皮膚、粘膜を刺激する。
