Also known as Ude. A Tungusic language. Spoken by about 2,000 people in the Primorsky Krai region on the right bank of the Amur and Ussuri rivers in Russia. In 1931 it was written in the Roman alphabet, but from around 1937 it began to use Russian characters. It is close to Orochi language, and is also used as a written language by speakers of Orochi language. ウデ語ともいう。ツングース語の一つ。ロシアのアムールおよびウスリー川右岸の沿海州地方で約 2000人によって話されている。 1931年からローマ字により表記されることになったが,37年頃からロシア文字を使用。オロチ語に近く,オロチ語の話し手の文字言語としても用いられている。
