...these two conventions are collectively called the Hague Uniform Sales Law Convention), and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (which came into force in January 1988 and is called the Vienna Uniform Sales Law Convention), which was drafted by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) established in 1964 and adopted in Vienna in 1980 (commissioned in January 1988). If all countries in the world were to join such uniform law conventions, there would be no conflict of laws and there would be no need for international private law regarding international sales.
