...The performers are Fujikawa Hachizo II as Doguya Jinzo, Yamashita Kinpachi II as his wife Osaku, Imamura Shichisaburo III as Eirakuya Gonzaemon, Arashimura Jiro as Nobihime, Nakamura Jirozo II as Yamazakiya Kanjuro, Mimasu Matsugoro as Eirakuya's assistant, Somematsu Shichisaburo as assistant assistant Yosuke, Yoshizawa Iroha I as the daughter Ogumi, and Ichikawa Danzo IV as Hokaibo and Asayama Shuzen. The direct reference is the play Iromoyo Aoyagi Soga, first performed at the Edo Nakamuraza in 1775 (An'ei 4), in which Nakamura Nakazo I played the role of Dainichibo. Danzo, who was with the play at the time playing the role of Matsui Gengoro, performed this work in Osaka nine years later....

…演者は道具屋甚三を2世藤川八蔵，同女房おさくを2世山下金八，永楽屋権左衛門を3世今村七三郎，野分姫を嵐村次郎，山崎屋勘十郎を2世中村治郎三，永楽屋手代を三枡松五郎，同手代要助を染松七三郎，同娘お組を初世芳沢いろは，法界坊と浅山主膳を4世市川団蔵。直接の粉本は1775年(安永4)江戸中村座初演《色模様青柳曾我（いろもようあおやぎそが）》で，初世中村仲蔵が大日坊の役で演じたもの。そのとき松井源五郎の役で同座していた団蔵が9年後大坂で上演したのが本作。…
