〘Noun〙 (Noun derived from the conjunctive form of the verb "katanasu (knot)")① One of the ceremonies of government affairs at the Imperial Court in the Nara and Heian periods. A ceremony in which documents related to government affairs are organized and bound together, opened and read aloud before government affairs, and then bound together again. There are two types of kanketsu and geki knots , and from the mid-Heian period onwards, there have been more geki knots. ※Mido Kanpakuki, March 14, 1009 (Kanko 6) "When the knot is as usual, the Udaiben takes the lead in leaving the place where it is to be held ." ② Abbreviation of "katanashi dokoro (knot office)." ※Honcho Seiki, June 3, 967 (Kōhō 4) "A seal is issued for the knot .
