Primary narcissism

…This state is due to the fact that, unlike other higher mammals, humans are born as a kind of premature baby with underdeveloped sensory and motor organs (neoteny), but the individual's first impulsive life is carried out and satisfied in this state. Since neither other people nor reality have been discovered, the individual at this stage lives in a world of omniscience, omnipotence, uniqueness, and the self-centeredness of the individual in the universe; this is the state of so-called "primary narcissism."
