The structure of the entire song is as follows: "Komacho" (those marked with " " are performed by instruments alone, without vocals), Aware, "Kowadashi", Ichiuta, Nika, "Surugautano Tadashi", Surugauta ichidan, Surugauta nidan, "Kataoroshi", Aware, "Motomegonouttadashi", Motomegonouttadashi, "Oobirenoouttadashi", and Oobireuta. Of these, Surugauta Nidan, Motoshiuta, and Ohireuta are sung in agebyōshi (metrical rhythm).
