...A sect derived from the Ismaili sect in Syria (Sham). It was established in the early 11th century by deifying the Fatimid caliph Hakim. It is said that the organizer of the doctrine system was Hamza b.'Ali (years of birth and death unknown), who came from Iran to Cairo. This doctrine was not accepted in Egypt, and it is said that it was transmitted to the mountainous region of Syria by Darazi (years of birth and death unknown), who was also in Cairo, and the name also comes from this. Based on the doctrine of Batin, which emphasizes the inner meaning of the Quran, they call Hakim "Our Lord" as the final embodiment of God, do not acknowledge his death, and hope for his reappearance from "hidden (gayba)". ...
