In medieval samurai society, this document was issued when entrusting (depositing) land or half-tax payments to a specific person such as a vassal or a magistrate. The name comes from the inclusion of the word "deposit" in the text. From the Nanboku-cho period to the Muromachi period, it was issued by the Shogun, Shugo, and Daimyo, with the Shogun issuing Gohan no Migyosho or Gonaisho, and the Shugo issuing Hanmotsu and Kakikudashi. Unlike Ateokoshi, which was a permanent grant, this was used when granting something temporarily. Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
