Arabian tahr

It is a member of the Bovidae family of the Mammalia order. It currently lives only in the rugged mountainous areas of the eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula. It is the smallest of the Thars, standing 70-80cm tall at the shoulder. Its body is sandy-coloured and its face is black. It is an endangered species, but is not yet protected.

哺乳(ほにゅう)綱偶蹄(ぐうてい)目ウシ科の動物。現在はアラビア半島東端の荒れた山岳地にのみ生息する。タールのなかでは最小で肩高70～80センチメートル。体色は砂色で、顔は黒い。絶滅寸前の種であるが、いまだ保護されていない。
