...R. Barker, who invented the "panorama" in the late 18th century, M. Faraday, who invented a device called the "Faraday wheel" in the early 19th century, Fitton and Paris, who invented the "thaumatrope," W. G. Horner, who invented the "zoetrope," E. Muybridge, who took the first "sequential photographs" in the late 19th century, and W. Freese-Green, who made the first movie camera, were among the pioneers of film.
