However, on Niiname Day in 791 (Enryaku 10), Hozen Azumi Tsunenari fought with the Takahashi clan, who held the same position, before and after the Shinto procession, and for not following the imperial order and leaving, he was exiled to Sado, and the Azumi clan lost their position in the Naizen office thereafter. There is a theory that the Azumi clan, as a people of the sea, trace their ethnic origins from Southeast Asia to Indonesia. …
