...Sekko spring, 47-51°C. It springs from a plateau at an altitude of 1000m, halfway up Asahidake, the main peak of the Daisetsuzan mountain range. It is also called Asahidake Onsen. It was discovered by Akutsu Keikichi in 1914, and became the base for climbing Asahidake in the Showa era.
