Pale (flesh)-footed shearwater

A bird of the order Pelecaniformes and family Pelecanidae. It is about 51 cm long. Its body is black-brown and its legs are yellowish-fleshed. It breeds on islands in Australia and New Zealand, and also migrates to the North Pacific Ocean. It migrates to the waters around Japan in early summer.

鳥綱ミズナギドリ目ミズナギドリ科の鳥。全長約51センチメートル。体は黒褐色、足は黄肉色。オーストラリアやニュージーランドの島で繁殖し、北太平洋にも渡る。初夏、日本近海に渡来する。
