The New Generation Computer Technology Organization. It was the core organization of the "5th Generation Computer Development Project" promoted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). It achieved great success, such as the development of parallel processing, but was dissolved in 1998. It was later taken over by the Advanced Information Technology Laboratory (AITEC), but AITEC was abolished in March 2004, and now the Advanced Information Technology Research and Promotion Group (AITRG) is working to promote technology related to 5th generation computers.

新世代コンピューター技術開発機構。通商産業省（現経済産業省）が推進していた「第5世代コンピューター開発プロジェクト」の中核組織。並列推進処理の開発などの成果を残したが、1998年に解散。その後先端情報技術研究所（AITEC）に引き継がれたが、2004年3月にAITECが廃止され、現在は先端情報技術調査・普及グループ（AITRG）によって、第5世代コンピューターに関する技術の普及が図られている。
