...A well-type scintillation detector is mainly used to measure these samples, which increases the efficiency of measuring samples in test tubes. In vitro testing methods are characterized by their ability to measure extremely small amounts of substances in the body, which was impossible to do with conventional chemical or biological methods. They originated in 1959 with the radioimmunoassay (RIA) method for measuring insulin in the blood by S.A. Berson and R. Yallow. Since then, many other methods have been developed and are used in endocrinology, viral disease, and cancer-related tests.
