Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society

...A Christian organization that was formed in 1926 as the Japanese branch of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society in New York, with Junzo Akashi (1889-1965) as its president. They considered the Bible to be an infallible record, believed in the one and only God, and forbade idolatry. They believed that the imminent second coming of Christ would destroy the systems and institutions of the earth controlled by the devil, did not recognize war as a crime of murder as defined by the Bible, and advocated refusal to serve in the military.
