...Founder of the London Wax Museum, known for its wax figures of famous people from all over the world. Her real name was Marie Tussaud. She was born in Bern, Switzerland. She had frequent contact with the French royal family from 1770, and during the French Revolution she was a sympathizer of the revolution, creating dolls and death masks of famous people of the time. In 1802 she moved to London with her works, and after touring the UK, she settled in her current Baker Street location in 1835. After her death, new exhibits were added, and a planetarium was installed in 1958. ...
