...Turanism, which was born among the Turkish people under Russian rule in the second half of the 19th century with the aim of escaping from Tsarist rule, was brought into the Ottoman Empire after the Young Turk revolution. This movement, which was centered around the magazine Türk yurdu, initially had a different goal in mind, namely the unification of the Turkish people and the restoration of the Ottoman Empire, just like Ottomanism. However, it gradually became linked to Enver Pasha's overseas expansion policy and took on a stronger former color.
