…A deciduous shrub of the Ericaceae family that grows in sunny, somewhat dry mountain areas. It branches out well and spreads horizontally, reaching a height of 1-1.5m. The leaves are alternate, obovate or oblong, pointed at the tip, 3-8cm long and 1.5-3.5cm wide. In August and September, panicles form at the ends of the branches, and many white flowers bloom. There are small lanceolate bracts at the base of the peduncle. The calyx is cup-shaped, very shallow, and has five lobes. The corolla is deeply divided into three lobes, and the lobes are narrow oblong and strongly recurved. There are six stamens, and the filaments are flat. The anthers are longitudinally divided. …
