Macroglossum

...This group of moths is relatively small and mainly diurnal flying, and is unified by the Japanese name ending "Houjaku." The genus Macroglossum , which is the core of this group, has about 80 known species and is distributed mainly in the tropics and subtropics of Southeast Asia. Twelve species are known in Japan, but the number of species increases the further south you go.
