...Reflecting these climatic conditions, the vegetation is dominated by savanna in the broad sense. In the relatively humid southwestern half, seasonal woodlands called miombo stand out, while in the northeastern half, wooded grasslands and shrubland form a mosaic. The southern half of Lake Victoria is included in the country's territory, and in the depression zone, rift lakes stand out. In the west, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Rukwa, and Lake Malawi, and in the east, Lake Natron, Lake Manyara, and Lake Eyasi line up.
