Oxy-acid (English spelling)

...an inorganic acid containing oxygen, that is, an acid that has an electronegative component in which oxygen (the ligand name for the oxygen atom is called oxo) is coordinated to a nonmetallic or metallic atom other than oxygen. In the past, it was called an oxyacid or oxygen acid. A term for hydrogen acid.
