Parapegasus natans (English spelling)

...The family name Pegasidae comes from Pegasus, the winged winged horse in Greek mythology. Three species of seahorse are found in the waters off Japan: the seahorse Zalises draconis , the seahorse Pegasus volitans , and the spearhorse Parapegasus natans. All of these species live in the warm waters south of central Honshu. They are found only in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and are not found in the Atlantic Ocean.
