Patroklos

…After he reached adulthood, he went to Troy, ignoring his mother's warning that he would die young if he went to war, and performed brilliantly, but in the tenth year of the war, he abandoned the battle due to a dispute with the commander-in-chief Agamemnon over a captured female slave, and nearly defeated his allies. However, when his best friend Patroklos was killed in battle, he took up arms again and avenged his friend by killing the enemy commander Hector. He went on to kill Penthesilea, queen of the Amazons, and Memnon, son of Eos, the goddess of dawn, but was killed by an arrow shot to the heel by the Trojan prince Paris. …

From Hector

…Father of Astyanax. He was not only brave but also a great general who understood human nature and served his country well, but in the tenth year of the war, he killed Patroclus, who had gone to battle in place of Achilles, the greatest hero of the Greek army. Achilles was inspired by the death of his best friend, but he was defeated in single combat and killed in battle. His body was dragged by a chariot to Achilles' camp, where it was left exposed to the elements for more than ten days, after which it was redeemed by Priam for an enormous ransom.
