The leaves are spoon-shaped or oval, 3-6 cm long. A flower stalk grows between the leaves, 5-10 cm high, and at the end of the stalk produces a raceme about 2 cm long, which produces a dozen small white or purple-blue flowers in summer. The corolla is short and tubular, with a large upper lip and a short lower lip with three lobes. There are four stamens. The capsule is oval. It is distributed from the western Himalayas to Kashmir.
