…The temperature in the lower part of the stratosphere is almost constant, but it starts to rise above 20 km altitude and reaches a peak at about 50 km altitude. This is the upper limit of the stratosphere and is called the stratopause. This rise in temperature occurs because the ozone layer in the stratosphere absorbs ultraviolet rays from the sun.
