The branches are thin, sometimes drooping like a willow, and bear numerous lanceolate, 0.5-1cm long, scale-like leaves. The thin branches wither and fall off when the leaves fall. It flowers twice a year, in late spring and from summer to autumn, with numerous pale pink flowers clustered together in a raceme that is beautiful from a distance, and the bright new shoots in spring and the smoky blue-green crown in summer also have a gentle beauty, so it is cultivated for cut flowers and as a garden tree. ...
