Kamin

Japanese: kamin
Kamin

[Jajmani relationship]
The landlord or the agriculturalist belonging to the dominant caste and the other castes in the village, generally the artisan caste, are connected by a jajmānī relationship. In this relationship, the one who provides the service is called kamin, and the one who receives the service and pays is called jajmān. This relationship exists not only between the agriculturalist and the artisan caste, but also between the artisan caste and the artisan caste (for example, between the carpenter and the barber), but the former relationship is the main focus.
