[Bifidus factor]
It is a substance found in human milk that promotes the growth of bifidobacteria in the intestine. It was first discovered in 1952 by P. György (1893-1976). It is made up of nitrogen-containing oligosaccharides found in human milk, and is found in large amounts in human milk, but only about 1/100 of the amount found in cow's milk.
