[Corporate accounting settlement]
Closing the books is the act of closing the ledger accounts based on the ledger accounting records. In double-entry bookkeeping, all events that affect a company's assets, liabilities, and capital through business activities are called transactions, and the two opposing flows of value brought about by the transaction (for example, in the case of a purchase transaction of goods, on the one hand, the increase in the asset of goods and on the other hand, the decrease in the asset of cash, which are positive and negative flows of value) are recorded from two sides (double entry).
