The stem is erect, 30-150cm tall, and slightly square, with fine hairs along with the leaves. The upper leaves are alternate, while the lower leaves are opposite. Both leaves have stalks. The leaves are once- or twice-pinnately compound, with the terminal leaflet ovate with a sharp tip and fine serrated edges. From September to November, yellow flower heads grow at the ends of many branched twigs. The flower heads consist of tubular and ray flowers. There are 0-5 ray flowers per flower head, but they do not bear fruit. …
