Japanese: 略式訴訟 - りゃくしきそしょう

A special lawsuit is a lawsuit that aims to process cases more simply and quickly than regular court proceedings. In civil cases, under current law, this includes collection procedures, bill and check lawsuits (see the section on bill lawsuits), and procedures for provisional attachment and provisional disposition (see the section on Civil Preservation Law). In collection procedures, a disposition is made at the creditor's request without questioning the debtor or conducting a substantive hearing, while in bill and check lawsuits, the procedures are simplified and expedited by limiting the methods of evidence that the parties can submit.

通常の裁判手続より簡易かつ迅速に事件を処理することを目的とする特別訴訟。　民事については，現行法上では督促手続，手形･小切手訴訟(〈手形訴訟〉の項参照)，仮差押え･仮処分の手続(〈民事保全法〉の項目参照)がこれに属する。督促手続では，債権者の申立てだけで債務者を審尋せずに実質的な審理をすることなく処分がなされ，手形･小切手訴訟では，当事者が提出しうる証拠方法を制限することによって，手続の簡易･迅速化を図っている。
