A cultural organization in the Soviet Union formed in 1917. An abbreviation of Proletarskaya Kul'tura, or proletarian culture. Proletkult's literary theory is represented by its leader, Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Bogdanov (1873-1928). Whereas Marxist literary theory tended to emphasize the cognitive function of art, Proletkult's greatest feature was its focus on the organizational function, stating that art "organizes social experience not only in terms of cognition, but also in terms of emotion and inclination." 1917年に結成されたソ連邦の文化団体。
