Hibachi making

Japanese:
Hibachi making
Saikyo Hibachi Zoza in Nara is well known as a craftsman who made braziers and braziers. In historical documents, the 1333 (Genko 3) Catalogue of the Territories of the Uchino-ryo Bureau records that Yamato no Kuni no Kuni no Samurai Hara no Namiki no Onin presented a brazier pottery as annual tax on farmland, and that he presented ten Nara braziers as a Kyoto merchant. There were deliveries by producers in lieu of annual tax on farmland, and deliveries by merchants as tax on business in Kyoto. Braziers as products are found in Eshi Soshi from the end of the Kamakura period, and have also been excavated from the Muromachi period Kusado Sengen ruins (although of course it cannot be said with certainty that these are Nara braziers).
