Also known as the Arizona Meteor Crater. A meteorite crater in the desert near Winslow, Arizona, USA. Its existence has been known for a long time, but it was named after DM Barringer, who proposed the meteorite origin theory. The hole is 1.2 km in diameter and 180 m deep.
