〘noun〙① A type of role in Kabuki. The character is a playboy who appears to be a ladies' man, but is actually a villain. For example, Iemon from " Yotsuya Kaidan." A womanizer. A vicious womanizer. *Kabuki Chronicles (1811-15), vol . 1 "As of this spring, I have changed my surname to Yamanaka Myauji , and this is the beginning of my reputation as a womanizer ." ② A man who leads women astray and plays with them.
