Japanese: ネイ[湖](英語表記)Lough Neagh
Lough Neagh
The largest lake in the British Isles, located in central Northern Ireland, is an irregular rectangle measuring 29 km long and 18 km wide, with an area of 396 km2 and a maximum depth of 31 m. It was formed by the collapse of part of the basalt Antrim Plateau, and the lake area spans four counties: Antrim, Almaha, Tyrone, and Londonderry. The only river that flows out to the sea is the River Bann, which flows north and is used for irrigation and transportation. The lake is famous for its vendace and eel fishing. The Mesolithic culture in Ireland emerged near the lake around 6000 BC.
