Records of court decisions from the Nagasaki Magistrate's Office during the Edo period. 145 volumes covering the period from 1666 to 1867 remain. The Nagasaki Magistrate shared responsibility with the Osaka Magistrate over cases in the direct jurisdiction of Nagasaki and the surrounding areas under the jurisdiction of the Nagasaki Magistrate, as well as matters related to religious sects and pilfering in the western provinces.
