Ultra-high magnetic field

Ultra-high magnetic field
A magnetic field of 70 to 100 T or more is usually called an ultra-strong magnetic field. Since 100 T is 1 megagauss (1 MG = 10 6 G) in the CGS Gaussian system, ultra-strong magnetic fields are often also called megagauss magnetic fields.
[How it occurs]
Since CM Fowler and his colleagues at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States announced the generation of an ultra-strong magnetic field exceeding 1000 T in 1960, research has been conducted into the generation of ultra-strong magnetic fields using various methods. Ultra-strong magnetic fields are generated by passing a large current instantaneously through a circular circuit (coil) by some method.
