Izunagaoka [town] - Izunagaoka
An old town on the west bank of the Kano River in Tagata County, Shizuoka Prefecture. Izunagaoka Onsen is divided into two districts, Kona and Nagaoka. Nagaoka is a new hot spring developed in 1907, while Kona is an old hot spring, both of which have simple springs at 60°C. The town is accessible by Izu-Hakone Railway and bus from Mishima City. Mount Katsuragi (452m) at the southern end of the town offers excellent views of Mount Fuji. In April 2005, the town merged with Nirayama Town and Ohito Town in Tagata County to become a city, Izunokuni City. Area: 16.52 km2 . Population: 15,400 (2003).

静岡県田方(たがた)郡,狩野(かの)川西岸の旧町。伊豆長岡温泉は古奈(こな),長岡の2地区に分かれ,長岡は1907年開発の新温泉,古奈は古くからの温泉でいずれも単純泉,60℃。三島市から伊豆箱根鉄道,バスが通じる。町域南端の葛城(かつらぎ)山(452m)は富士山の展望がすぐれる。2005年4月田方郡韮山町,大仁町と合併し市制,伊豆の国市となる。16.52km2。1万5400人(2003)。
