This temple is located in Daijijicho, Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. It belongs to the Obaku sect of Buddhism. Its mountain name is Fukujuzan. The principal image is Nyoirin Kannon. It was founded in 1673 (Enpo 1) by Zen master Tokushin. All the buildings were destroyed in a great fire in 1884 (Meiji 17), but were rebuilt with the assistance of Hara Takashi, the prime minister at the time. Koshigoe Hall was Hara Takashi's study, which was relocated from Koshigoe, Kamakura. Temple treasures include portraits of Ingen, Zen master Tokushin, Hara Takashi (by Ueno Hirokazu), and calligraphy by Hara Takashi. There are also the graves of Hara Takashi and the daughter of Gyōshin, the 30th head of the Nanbu family.
