Mine sweeping

A mine disposal method in which a small vessel (minesweeper) is used to drag a minesweeping device that generates a false signal equivalent to the thruster sound or hull magnetism of a surface ship or submarine through the area where the mines are located, creating a situation where the mines are ignited as if a ship had passed nearby. Usually, small vessels built of non-magnetic materials such as wood and large helicopters are used as minesweeping vehicles to limit the magnetism and thruster sound of the ship.
