A story about a poor charcoal burner named Goro or Kogoro who discovers gold and sake springs with the help of his lucky wife and becomes a wealthy man. This legend of a rich man is widely distributed throughout Japan, from Aomori to Okinawa, and in some cases the place where the mansion is said to have been is still called Choja Yashiki.
