(2)上代の文献では「家屋」はヤと表現されることが多く、イエ(いへ)はむしろ「家庭」の意味合いが強かった。

け【家】

〘接尾〙 (「け」は「家」の呉音)① 官職、称号などの下に付けて、敬意を示す。※後拾遺(1086)釈教・一一八七・詞書「故土御門右大臣家の女房」② 姓、氏の下に付けて、その一族またはその成員であることを示す。※高野本平家(13C前)一「平家(へいケ)も又、別して朝家(てうか)を恨奉る事もなかりしほどに」③ 宗教、学問などの系統を示す。〔文明本節用集(室町中)〕④ 家屋、家筋、宗派、学派などの数を数える時に用いる。※史記抄(1477)一「其に連座せられて、一族を夷(たいらげ)らるる者が七十余家也」
