Feast of Unleavened Bread

Feast of Unleavened Bread
A Jewish holiday. In Hebrew it is called ḥag hamaṣṣôt, and can also be translated as "Feast of Unleavened Bread." Originally it was a week following Passover, celebrated on the night of the 14th of the Jewish month of Nisan (March or April in the solar calendar), but it has long been incorporated into Passover. To commemorate the night the Jewish ancestors left Egypt, taking unleavened bread with them, people eat unleavened bread called matzah for a week. [Ishida Tomoo]
