Changle - Kolosho

An island in Xiamen in the southern part of Fujian Province in southeastern China. Population 16,376 (2000). Also known as Gulangyu. Area 1.64 square kilometers, highest point is Sunlight Rock at 90 meters above sea level. This is where Koxinga established his naval base at the end of the Ming Dynasty, and the Koxinga Memorial Hall stands at the foot of Sunlight Rock. In 1903, an international settlement was established and it became a villa area for foreigners, but after the establishment of the People's Republic, it became a resort and residential area for Chinese people. It is connected to Xiamen by a large bridge.

In 2017, it was registered as a cultural heritage site (World Cultural Heritage) by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) as "Gulangyu: Historic International Settlement Boundary".

中国南東部、福建(ふっけん)省南部の厦門(アモイ)にある島。人口1万6376（2000）。別称コロンス。面積1.64平方キロメートル、最高点は日光岩で標高90メートル。明(みん)末に鄭成功(ていせいこう)が水軍基地を置いた地で、日光岩の麓(ふもと)に鄭成功記念館がある。1903年に共同租界が置かれ外国人の別荘地とされたが、人民共和国成立後は中国人の保養地、住宅地となった。厦門と大橋で結ばれる。

　2017年、「鼓浪嶼：歴史的共同租界」としてユネスコ（国連教育科学文化機関）の世界遺産の文化遺産（世界文化遺産）に登録された。
