Employment Act of 1946

Japanese: 雇用法 - こようほう（英語表記）Employment Act of 1946

American law enacted in 1946 as a result of growing fears of a return to depression and unemployment after the end of World War II. The Employment Act clearly declared that promoting maximum employment, production, and purchasing power was the continuing policy and responsibility of the federal government, and provided a legal basis for the federal government's postwar management of the economy. The act established a three-member Council of Economic Advisers in the Executive Office of the President and the Joint Committee on Economic Affairs in Congress.

アメリカの法律。第2次大戦終了後，不況と失業が再来するのではないかという恐れが高まり，その結果1946年に制定された。雇用法には，最大限の雇用と生産と購買力の促進が連邦政府の継続的な政策であり責任であることが明確に宣言されており，連邦政府による戦後の経済運営に法的根拠を提供した。同法によって大統領府に3名の専門家からなる経済諮問委員会Council of Economic Advisersが設けられ，議会に上下両院合同経済委員会が設置された。
